02 RHODE 12/22
For the Lip Peptide product launch and campaign at Hailey Beiber’s skincare company, rhode, I was tasked with creating an iteration of the rhode logo that would be utilized in the global campaign, specific to the products.
This product collection was an especially large-scale launch, as the campaign expanded rhode from a niche skincare brand to a beauty empire. The lip tint comes in four unqiue colorways, reflected in each of the logos I designed: espresso, ribbon, raspberry jelly, and toast.
The logo features handdrawn letterforms which play off of the original logo, while mimicking the liquidity of the product. It is meant to appear as though the letters were smeared by the product applicator or oozing from the product tube. I rendered the logo in 3D, adding shine, gloss, and a touch of transparency to fully appear as if it were made out of the product.
This wordmark has been applied to packaging, PR boxes, table-settings, dj-set projections, social media (over 20 individual posts on rhode and Hailey Beiber’s accounts with millions of impressions), order confirmation emails, and the rhode website.
Most recently, the logo has been applied to the jelly bean peptide lip tint campaign, a special edition campaign in honor of Hailey’s birthday which features a sparkly, jelly bean-pink version.
This project was completed at Chandelier Creative, a NYC based creative agency. Jelly bean launch date November 16, 2023. Original lip tint launch September 21, 2023. The original campaign has recieved press from Vogue, WWD, Forbes, Byrdie, Glamour Magazine UK, Nylon, Hypbae, and Her Campus.
